Q: Should I try to spot-clean my dry-clean-only clothes?
View |
Hide
No, all the home remedies your friends suggest such as using club soda, hairspray or just soap & water will more than likely cause more harm than good.
Q: Does my cleaner need to know what caused the stains on my article(s) of clothing?
View |
Hide
Yes, certain cleaning agents are used for specific stains. Your chances of having the stain removed are much higher if the cleaner knows what they are removing.
Q: Do I need to have my suit pants and jacket cleaned at the same time?
View |
Hide
Yes, over time if one item is cleaned more than the other you will notice a difference in appearance.
Q: Should I leave my items in the plastic bags the cleaner places them in?
View |
Hide
No, remove all plastic coverings once you have the items back home. If they are kept inside a plastic covering moisture from the air can get trapped inside and cause considerable damage. Paper coverings will not harm your clothes, they actually protect garments from dust and allow them to "breathe".
